5 out of 5 stars Great! But better if it shipped with the bracket.   July 26, 2010
M. Schaffer
This worked great and I'm definitely happy I bought the dual-gang rather than a single. My only complaint is that the mounting bracket comes from a different shipper, so shipping was a little pricey.

Still seems worth it though. I doubt a hardware store would cost much less overall and it'd be much harder to find. Searchable shopping FTW.

5 out of 5 stars Solid connstruction, great value to hide wires for wall mount   June 20, 2010
Ashok Krishnamurthy (Cincinnati, OH USA)
The construction on this product feels solid and the finish is good. A pair of these is an ideal solution to hide wires for a flat screen TV wall mount.

One tip: use a dual gang wall mount bracket to mark cutout area on drywall, mount the bracket onto drywall and then this wall plate onto the bracket.

Second tip: You can not run a high voltage power cable directly behind the drywall via a plate such as this. This would be a building code violation in most places. You can only use this to run low voltage wires such as your hdmi and audio cables. To hide the TV's power wire, provide an electrical outlet directly behind the TV or use a product such as the following: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KF438I/ref=oss_product

5 out of 5 stars A great option   April 25, 2010

As others have noted these work very well and make for a very convenient conduit. Still a bit of work to fish the wires through but I was able to get my HDMI, Power, coax and an optical cable through the double sized without too much of a problem. Definitely makes for a nicely hung HDTV without seeing any messy wires.

4 out of 5 stars IT works and is recessed behind the wall   April 19, 2010

I bought '2' of these and will by 4 more.. They are great for low voltage. I just wish they came with the metal bracket.. ended up going to HD and got some for a 2 dollars, but would ahve been nicer to get in one package..

5 out of 5 stars Nice touch to a wall mount set up   April 3, 2010
R. Pugliese (Philadelphia, PA)
This is much better than having an ugly hole in your wall with wires hanging out of it! The dual gang plate has a very large hole and you can fit as many wires through it as you can probably plug into the back of your HDTV. If you only plan on having a couple HDMI cables going through your wall, you can probably go with the single gang and be ok. I went with the dual gang just in case I need the room, currently, I only have 2 HDMI cables going through it, and its a bit overkill. Don't forget to get a low voltage mounting bracket so you have something to mount the plate to.
